Dr. Stickney, DC, ART

 

Dr. Stickney’s passion for improving the life of those in severe pain has inspired him to being the most evidence-based and educated physician possible. His additional training in A.R.T., rehabilitation and acupuncture allows him to successfully treat much more than pain. Dr. Stickney studied from 2007 to 2010 to receive his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City. He has mentored and trained under many successful doctors including Dr. David Lauer, Dr. Marty DeCourcy, Dr. Brian Holdeman and Dr. Tony Ellis. These prior experiences have provided the confidence necessary to apply previously learned concepts and techniques to positively impact Kearney and the surrounding area. Dr. Stickney’s goal is to develop this practice into the primary chiropractic care facility in the area, while utilizing collaboration with multiple disciplines as we transition into a new era of healthcare and wellness.

By utilizing advanced chiropractic techniques, A.R.T. and rehabilitation, we are able to provide successful treatment for a multitude of common musculoskeletal disorders. Each treatment is unique to the clinical presentation of each patient.

As a full-body certified A.R.T. provider, Dr. Stickney’s prior experiences offer expertise to not only area manufacturing companies but also local sports teams. This qualification is very unique to the area and will offer a higher, more comprehensive level of patient care. Dr. Stickney is also certified through the Acupuncture Society of America, Thompson technique and flexion-distraction methods. In addition, Dr. Stickney has attended many seminars including Titleist Performance Institute golf certification, extremity adjusting for stabilization and rehab, advanced lower extremity assessment, Lumbar-pelvis assessment and treatment and reflex locomotion.

Nothing is more satisfying for us than when a patient realizes they can return to a normal, fully functioning, pain-free lifestyle. At Elite Chiropractic & Tissue Rehabilitation, we live by the philosophy that, “Quality of Life Matters Most.”

Time outside of the office is spent enjoying his wife, Erin, and their children, Emma, Eva and Cade. They are active members in Prince of Peace Catholic Church.

Dr. Peterson, DC, ART

 

Dr. Peterson shares the same passion with Dr. Stickney; to help the people of central Nebraska live pain free and functional lives. His advanced training allows him to decrease people’s pain efficiently and effectively while increasing and improving their activities of daily living. Dr. Peterson strives to be the most informed, up-to-date, evidence-based physician possible. He graduated magna cum laude from Logan College of Chiropractic in December of 2012. Prior to chiropractic school, Dr. Peterson graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from UNK. 

Dr. Peterson’s training was procured by a multitude of physicians on the forefront of the chiropractic profession. His instructors included former team chiropractors for the St. Louis Rams, St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, Kansas City Chiefs and BYU athletics.  As a student intern, Dr. Peterson had the privilege of working with and treating University of Missouri athletics, Missouri Baptist University athletics, McClure High Schools Track and Field teams and Glen Echo Country Club members. Along with his chiropractic training, Dr. Peterson specializes in A.R.T.; a unique, reputable, comprehensive soft tissue management system. Dr. Peterson’s has recieved additional training in acupuncture, KinesioTaping, Titelist Performance Institute, and functional rehabilitation. A staple in Dr. Peterson’s education was the importance of treating the soft tissue aspect of the musculoskeletal injury. This approach makes it possible for patients to experience lasting and self-sustained relief from chronic aches and pains.

Dr. Peterson is an active member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association. He is also a member of the UNK Alumni Association, Loper Gridiron Club and Faith Lutheran Church.  In the fall of 2017, Dr. Peterson was nominated to serve on the Kearney Family YMCA Board of Directors and is currently serving a 3 year term. Dr. Peterson has been married to his wife, Kelsey, since November of 2014.  They have a young son, John, and enjoy playing with their dog, Jake, camping, golfing and Loper football games.

Matt Barth, PT, DPT, FDN, FMS

 

Matt’s passion and motivation is treating people of all ages from youth to athletes to elderly with a variety of conditions and disabilities in order to restore pain-free movement and activity.  Matt has an extensive history treating musculoskeletal and other orthopedic conditions, spine rehabilitation, headaches, vestibular conditions, and falls, among others.  Matt’s desire is that everyone being treated feels they are receiving the best care possible from someone who really cares.  Matt understands that everyone’s situation is unique and he develops a plan of care specific to meet each individual’s needs.

Matt’s training includes receiving a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Doane College in 2007 and then later completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2012.  He has advanced training in Kinesiotaping, Functional Dry Needling, Functional Movement Screens for improving athlete performance, and a variety of continuing education focused on spine rehabilitation, ACL rehabilitation, and lower extremity rehabilitation. 

Matt is originally from Utica, NE and attended Centennial High School.  He met his wife, Amy, at Doane College and they moved to Kearney after completing physical therapy school.  They have 3 children: Peyton, Maddox, and Hudson.  Personally, Matt is active in and around the Kearney area with Grace Fellowship Church, Crossfit, slow-pitch softball, adventure races, and family.

Jeanne Limbach, LMT

 

Jeanne Limbach, Licensed Massage Therapist joined Elite Chiropractic in July 2015.  Dr.’s Peterson and Stickney’s passion and philosophies on treating their patients is a good fit for Jeanne.  Previously, she practiced at North Park Physical Therapy Clinic in Holdrege, Good Samaritan Hospitals Healthy Living Center, and worked closely with various Physicians, Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Athletic Trainers, and Mental Health Care Practitioners while in private practice.  Jeanne bases her practice on each client should be viewed as an individual.  Their needs may require the attention of other health care professionals to overcome their dysfunction.  Therefore, she identifies and addresses the mind, body, and spiritual needs of each client while working separately or together with other health care practitioners in the community to facilitate their needs.

Jeanne graduated from the Myotherapy Institute in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1996.  She has attended numerous continuing education (CE) courses ranging from deep tissue massage to energy work.  These courses include: Neuromuscular Re-education, Shiatsu, Reiki, Infant Massage, Pre and Post Natal, Thai Massage, Sports Massage, Energy Medicine, Cupping, and Anatomy Trains to name a few.  She incorporates portions of the various CE courses into each massage session.  This is determined by addressing the client’s goals prior to the massage and how the client reacts to the techniques used during the session. 

Jeanne currently holds certifications in Pre and Post Natal Massage, Infant Massage, Aromatherapy, and is a Reiki Master.  In addition, she received a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.

Jeanne lives in Kearney, Ne with her husband Greg.  They have four grown children.  She is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and the Nebraska Chapter.  She has served on the boards of the following organizations:  Kearney High School Booster Club, Nebraska Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association, Kearney Area Children’s Museum, and the UNK Newman Center.

Sara Penne, Office Manager

 

Sara joined Elite Chiropractic in October 2017.

Sara graduated from the University of Nebraska in Kearney in 2008 where she received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Management.

Sara worked for First Care Medical throughout college where she developed a passion for patient care. She has also worked at Midwest Medical Transport, Phelps Memorial Health Center and New West Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation. 

Sara has experience in medical billing, accounting and human resources.

Sara lives in Kearney. Time outside the office is spent enjoying her family, family, pets and Husker football.
